🫙 Sauces and Condiments
This is where gluten hides. Soy sauce is made with wheat. Worcestershire sauce often contains malt vinegar. Gravy uses flour as a thickener. Salad dressings, marinades, and spice blends can all contain hidden gluten through thickeners, malt flavouring, or modified food starch. Always read the label.
Important: Traffic light ratings reflect the default gluten status of each food. Individual products may differ. Always check the label, especially for orange-rated foods.
