🍫 Snacks and Sweets
This category is a minefield. Many chips and crisps are gluten free, but flavoured varieties often contain wheat starch or malt vinegar seasoning. Chocolate is naturally GF, but bars with wafers, biscuit, or malt are not. Lollies and liquorice frequently contain wheat flour. Always check, even products you assume are safe.
Important: Traffic light ratings reflect the default gluten status of each food. Individual products may differ. Always check the label, especially for orange-rated foods.
